Mission
Create a safe place for kids experiencing cancer and other serious diagnosis to gain the confidence and skills to play soccer and succeed in their goal setting endeavors.
Vision
We envision a world where every child – no matter their health – experiences the joys of sport and activity. Where every child – no matter their status is empowered to set goals in life and reach them to help grow into emotionally and physically healthy adults.
Hannah Penman – Executive Director

Hannah was born in Buffalo, NY and grew up in a small town called Olean, NY. When she was 11 she had her first cancer diagnosis. She is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford where she played soccer for 4 years and received her degree in Sports and Recreation Management. After completing her degree, and rebounding from a second cancer diagnosis, Hannah moved to DC for an internship with D.C. United’s non-profit and that is where she got the idea for Soccer for the Future. She was eventually hired on full time to D.C. United in early 2015.
